December 16, at the meeting of the State Duma Vladimir Medinskiy has claimed that after a successful tour of the Moscow theatres around the country, the ministry plans to support the organization of region tours.

In September the Vakhtangov Theatre visited the capital of Buryatia with a weekly program, which included its 8 best performances. The legendary Moscow theatre has truly caused a furore in the city of Ulan-Ude. Each performance enjoyed full house and thunderous standing ovations. The Vakhtangov Theatre performances in Ulan-Ude we attended by 7.000 people.

The famous guests on their turn were impressed by the peculiarities of the Buryat culture and a warm welcome from the audience.

– It is the first time in my whole theatre practice that the audience was crying out “Thank you!” after the performance – the director of the Vakhtangov Theatre Kirill Krok said.
