“Katerina Izmailova” at the Bolshoi Theatre by the artistic director of the Vakhtangov Theatre
Rimas Tuminas stages an opera “Katerina Izmailova” at the Historic Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.
Libretto by Dmitry Shostakovich and Alexander Preis after “Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District” by Nikolai Leskov.
Music Director is Tugan Sokhiev. Two other Vakhtangov artists in the project are Adomas Jacovskis (Set Designer) and Angelica Cholina (Choreographer).
The first night is on February, 18.
