The actors of the Vakhtangov theatre – laureates of the FIGARO Award

The Russian National “Figaro” Actor Award Ceremony was held in Saint-Petersburg. This is the 6th ceremony, held traditionally on March, 8 — the day of birth of the great Russian actor Andrey Mironov. It was the 75th Anniversary. 

The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Saint-Petersburg, Viacheslav Makarov congratulated the winners. “The Award is reasonably regarded to be one of the most significant in the Russian Federation. The laureates of the “Figaro” are making the national honour of our culture. They keep the best traditions of Russian drama art and forward them to future generations”, — Viacheslav Makarov said.

There were congratulations sent to the laureates by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and The Governor of the City of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.

 The amazing actress of the Vakhtangov Theatre, the National Actress of the USSR Yulia Borisiva, was awarded with “Figaro” this year in the nomination “The Legend of the Russian Theatre”.

 In the nomination “The One, the Best” the award was given to another outstanding Vakhtangov Thatre actor, the National Actor of the Russian Federation Sergey Makovetskiy.

  And wonderful Vakhtangov Theatre actresses are laureates in the nomination “The Best of the Best”: the National Actress of the Russian Federation Maria Aronova and the Honoured Actress of the Russian Federation Yulia Rutberg.
