The ‘PUSS IN BOOTS’ is a famous musical show for children, staged in our theatre in 2013. According to the official statistics, it has been visited by almost 210 000 viewers. Interesting for kids, it is interesting for their parents as well, as soon as there are lots of new adventures and special effects.
In Russia most universities and academies for theatre arts are connected with theatres. For example, Moscow Art Theatre School is the studio school of the Moscow Art Theatre. It doesn’t mean that all graduates of that university enter Moscow Art Theatre’s team, but they surely intend to. Vakhtangov Theatre patronages Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. And ‘PUSS IN BOTS’ is usually performed by the graduating students of the Institute. That’s why the cast is regularly (once a year) renewed and eternally young. The present young stars of the Vakhtangov team have passed through this special exam: acting in ‘PUSS IN BOOTS’ staged by Vladimir Ivanov, the famous Russian director and professor at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute.
