In 2005 Eugenia Kregzhde graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute (Mikhail Borisov’s course) and joined the Vakhtangov Theatre company the same year.

Among her first roles in the Theatre were such important ones as Valentina (‘The last summer in Chulimsk’ by Alexander Vampilov) and Deniza (‘Mademoiselle Nitouche’ by Hervé). At the beginning of her career Eugenia had already proved her talent both in psychological drama and in absurd musical comedy.

The role of Cressida in the play ‘Troilus and Cressida’ by William Shakespeare directed by Rimas Tuminas was a massive success. The young actress was highly recognized by audience and by critics.

Eugenia Kregzhde was extremely lucky to be invited by the legendary director of the Russian theatre Yuriy Lubimov to perform Lisa in his production ‘Demons’ (by Fyodor Dostoevsky).

Today Eugenia Kregzhde is one of the leading actresses of the young Vakhtangov Theatre company generation. She is performing the main characters of the Russian classical literature: Tatyana (‘Eugene Onegin’ by Alexander Pushkin), Katerina (‘The Storm’ by Alexander Ostrovsky) and Sonia (‘Uncle Vanya’ by Anton Chekhov).

Selected roles performed at the Vakhtangov Theatre and other stages include: Isabella (‘Measure for Measure’ by William Shakespeare) and Nina (‘The Elder Son’ by Alexander Vampilov).

Eugenia Kregzhde first appeared on screen in 2004. Selected filmography includes ‘Lily of the valley’, ‘At the Verkhnyaya Maslovka street’, ‘Love is love’, ‘Unreal story’, ‘So many intruders at our place!’, ‘Anything but simple story’, ‘Handymen’, ‘A globe spent on drink’, ‘The eyes of a vis-à-vis’, ‘The Gambler’, ‘Far side of the Moon 2’.
