The Vakhtangov Theatre welcomes visitors to a new event: Cinema Party: films about the Theatre.

Two films about the Vakhtangov Theatre will be shown at the New Stage on the 22nd of March 2017. 

“The Rimas’ Arc” by “Theatron” project focuses on the artistic method and concept of Rimas Tuminas. It was filmed in Moscow as well as Vladicaucasus  (the home city of Eugene Vakhtangov) and Omsk where the Vakhtangov theatre worked during World War II.

“Oedipus at Epidaurus” tells the story of staging “Oedipus the King” performance premiered in Greece and played both in Moscow and at Greek theatres since summer 2016.
