“The Haven” is not a traditional jubilee performance. It actually is a way of paying tribute to those actors who devoted their lives to The Evgeny Vakhtangov Theatre. Their dedicated work glorified The Theatre. For what is a jubilee? It is the shore, the haven where the theatre-ship moors. Who is on board this ship today? The actors of different ages, talents and roles. On the 13th of November 2011 those leaders of acting, whose mastership became a legend, will step on the bridge, among them are Yulia Borisova, Lyudmila Maksakova, Vladimir Etush, Yury Yakovlev, Vasiliy Lanovoy, Vyacheslav Shalevich, Galina Konovalova, Irina Kupchenko, Evgeny Knyazev. In this benefit performance every actor has his personal theme, character and confession. They devoted their lives to The Theatre that became a real temple for them. The jubilee performance is the Mass in memory of those who contributed to the history of the Theatre, of those, who are no longer in this world, and of those, who have every right to be pride and joy of the Vakhtangov Theatre. It is the Mass for the young who will inherit the helm of the coryph?es.

It is the Mass for every visitor.

It is the tribute of the Theatre to the future.
