Glass of Water (1988)

The production of Eugene Scribe’s comedy was designed as a benefit night of Yury Yakovlev. This was a colorful performance put on the stage by A. Belinsky and decorated by I. Sumbatashvili.

Bolingbroke of Yu. Yakovllev, instead of a court intriguer and politician appeared as just a dodger. Yu. Borisova suddenly played Queen Anne as a touching goose. L. Maksakova in the role of Duchess Marlboro became a volcanic woman — general, and lieutenant Mecham was presented by M. Sukhanov as a simple-minded dolt in the guardsman’s costume.
